About Us

Serving Columbia families with heart, dedication, and genuine love for children since 1986.

38 Years of Caring

Since 1986, End of the Rainbow has provided Columbia area families with a high-quality learning and development program. The center began as a church program providing care for just 8–10 children.

Current owner Shane Wyatt purchased the center on December 31, 2020 from former owners Nikki and Jared Reynolds. Shane began working at the center in 2011 and served as Director from 2016–2020.

Prior to Shane's ownership, Nikki had expanded the center to be licensed for over 120 children, adding proximity locks, cameras in each room, hallways and parking lots, along with a fresh air return system. The center now consists of three Infant rooms, three Toddler rooms, one Two-Year-Old room, two Preschool rooms, and one Pre-K room.

The Heart of Everything We Do

Total Child Development

We provide an enriching atmosphere which enables the child to develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively — nurturing the whole child.

Learning Through Play

The children are involved in first-hand experiences and opportunities for self exploration. Learning through play is the heart of our curriculum.

Small Group Instruction

Working with children in small groups enables them to receive the personalized attention they need to excel and allows staff to meet individual needs.

Family Partnership

We are an extension of family, developing a partnership where sharing support, ideas and genuine love for children is of the utmost importance.

Clear & Transparent Policies

We believe in open communication. Here's everything you need to know before enrolling your child.

End of the Rainbow is a for-profit childcare center. We accept all children regardless of race, sex, creed or color. Our program serves children ages six weeks through twelve years of age. Upon enrollment, several forms must be completed, a one-time registration fee of $40 and the first week of tuition is due which is non-refundable.

You are more than welcome to come and go as you please. You are free to drop off or pick up your child any time during the day. You are also welcome to come visit, eat lunch, and go on field trips with your child's class.

We do not allow any child to leave the center with anyone other than the child's parent or persons listed on the enrollment form. When dropping off your child, personally bring him/her into the building, sign him/her in and make contact with the teacher. Please check your child's cubby every day. There is a $2.00 late fee for every 2 minutes after 5:45 PM.

Our center is kept clean and sanitized daily. Children must stay home with: fever over 100°F, diarrhea, bad colds, vomiting, ear infections, eye discharge, skin rashes, or head lice. Children may not return until symptoms have been absent for a full 24 hours (Tylenol-free). All children must have up-to-date immunization records on file.

The facility is closed for: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, 2nd Friday in March (Professional Development), Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Friday before Labor Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after, and New Year's Eve at 4:00 PM.

Our center will be open if at all possible during inclement weather. In the case of severe weather, updates on closures will be shared via email and our private Facebook Group. The decision to close will be at management's discretion with the safety of children, parents, and staff in mind.

We prefer tuition be paid on a monthly schedule. Tuition payments must be made in advance of service, due the first Monday of the month. We accept ACH, cash, or check (no credit cards). We offer a 10% discount for the second child enrolled and 5% off for any additional children.
